About This Project

This four bedroom single storey house is situated on a gently sloping block and consists of two living and dining areas with three bathrooms. It features a flat roof design with wide eave overhangs and flowing internal spaces arranged around a main courtyard garden to the north and a smaller courtyard to the front of the block. With much of the house facing north the design utilises significant areas of floor to ceiling glazing up to 3m high and 9m long.

The warmth of the Grey Ironbark flooring & Western Red Cedar cladding contrasts perfectly with the clean sharp design of the house.

Hydronic gas heating pipes were installed in the floor slab and reverse cycle cooling units are concealed in bulkheads throughout the house. As the house is designed to have a 6-star energy rating it requires little In the way of energy to heat and cool.

I’m happy to say Bora Building met the challenges of the brief and completed the project by the due date of Christmas. The required construction tolerances were achieved with a high degree of accuracy. Being involved thorough the construction process, I observed that all trades completed their work to a high standard especially the finishing trades; timber flooring, painting and bathroom tiling were very hard to fault.
