About This Project

This large family home has been designed to snake across the block allowing the main bedroom, main living room and the rumpus to absorb full northern sun and directly access a number of outdoor living spaces. High ceilings and large glazed areas allow natural light to flood the living areas and welcome guests. High raked ceilings and grey ironbark flooring provide a feeling of warmth to these open planned living areas.

The main bedroom wing has been separated from the children’s wing to allow privacy. The kid’s wing contains a large rumpus room, which also opens out onto a north-facing courtyard. The garage accommodates storage and a mud room, with a small office and storage space under the house.

Concealed beneath the large northern deck is water storage totalling 29,000 litres. Heating is provided through gas boosted hydronic heating and a gas fireplace to the family area.

We can honestly say the building of our new home was a great experience. Phil took on the challenge with incredible energy and a level of honesty and professionalism which made the process for us as first time home builders comfortable and reassuring. Bora Building, as a result has given us a wonderful practical new family home with quality finishes which met all of our expectations. We would have no hesitation in working with Phil agin or recommending him to others looking for a quality, satisfying building experience.
