We had many initial discussions and consultations with both Phil and the architect and made it clear that we had certain expectations in relation to the building of our home, including a very high level of attention to detail. Our meetings with Phil gave us a level of confidence that he would give the project his full attention and importantly meet our expectations, including keeping us very well briefed on the planning and progress of our home.

As the project progressed we found Phil to be a very timely and considerate communicator who gave us prompt advice on the progress, but also gave us time to consider issues so that we were in a position to provide our desires as the building progressed. We found Phil to be always available in person or on the phone, as required by us, to answer any of our questions and to give us detailed, understandable and reassuring answers. We found this to be an incredibly important element in the building process to settle any concerns we had.

His organisational skills in keeping the project moving and ensuring that the relevant tradespeople were on site when required meant that the building progressed in the timeframes we had planned for Phil’s active involvement with the tradespeople ensured that our expected attention to detail was relayed to each of them In turn. This gave us a particular level of comfort as we saw our home take shape.

Inevitably during the building there were issues that arose that required innovative thinking to ensure that our vision for the home was met. Phil would always deliver workable options to give us what we wanted in our home. His experience shone through on these occasions, particularly in relation to specific instances such as problems with large sliding doors and a particularly difficult issue with fencing posts. On these occasions we very much appreciated Phil’s experience and problem solving ability.

With the house now finished, and living in the house, we are very satisfied that Phil met our expectations in relation to the attention to detail the overall quality of the finish of our home and availability for follow up consultations. We have been, and remain, incredibly pleased with our home.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Phil and his Bora Building Group to anyone who wanted a high-quality home, built by a builder who was prepared to communicate with the client and go the extra yards to meet the client’s expectations in building their home. On many occasions it certainly felt like Phil poured his heart into building our home. We could ask for nothing more from our builder.
